How to mix vanilla protein powder: shakes, smoothies, oats and coffee
- Add one scoop to a glass of water, milk or almond milk, or to a smoothie.
- Shake or blend until smooth. A shaker bottle or blender works best.
- Enjoy it as a post-workout shake or any time of day.
Four easy ways to use it:
- Vanilla protein smoothie: blend one scoop with a frozen banana, a handful of berries and almond milk.
- Protein oats: stir one scoop into yogurt, overnight oats or cooled oatmeal.
- Iced protein coffee: shake one scoop with cold milk or almond milk, then pour it over iced coffee.
- Baking: add a scoop to pancake, waffle or muffin batter for the protein. Heat reduces enzyme activity.
Caution: Not intended for children. Keep out of reach of children. If you're pregnant or nursing, take medication or have a medical condition, ask your doctor before use. Made in a facility that also handles milk (whey protein). To report a side effect, call 210-408-2800.
Training stack: a scoop after your workout, with SportActive electrolyte stick packs in your water bottle. Veggie Protein Fusion is a protein shake, not an electrolyte drink.

Percent Daily Values are based on a 2,000 calorie diet. *Daily Value (DV) not established.
Amino acids: all nine essential amino acids (histidine, isoleucine, leucine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, tryptophan and valine), plus alanine, arginine, aspartic acid, cysteine, glutamine, glycine, proline, serine and tyrosine.
Other ingredients: VitaFiber® isomaltooligosaccharide (IMO), sunflower lecithin, natural vanilla flavoring and stevia.

How much protein is in each scoop?
22 g per scoop, as shown on the label. It comes mainly from a 24.5 g blend of sacha inchi, pea protein isolate, artichoke, brown rice protein concentrate and chia seeds. We're lab-testing the protein figure and will update this answer.
What does the vanilla taste like?
Vanilla Cream, made with natural vanilla flavoring and sweetened with stevia. It pairs well with fruit, nut butter, oats and coffee.
Is it gritty? How do I get a smooth shake?
Plant proteins can have more texture than whey. The label says to blend well in a shaker or mixer until dissolved: add the liquid first, then the scoop, and shake hard or use a blender. Ice or frozen fruit makes a thicker shake.
Can I put vanilla protein powder in coffee?
Yes. For iced coffee, shake a scoop with cold milk or almond milk and pour it over the coffee. Hot coffee and baking still add the protein, but heat reduces enzyme activity, so use cool or room-temperature drinks if you want the enzymes active.
Can you mix protein powder with electrolytes?
You can have them at the same time, but we suggest two drinks: a vanilla shake in milk or almond milk, and a SportActive stick pack in your water bottle. They do different jobs: a scoop is an easy way to get 22 g of protein after training, and sodium and potassium are lost in sweat.
Does it have all the essential amino acids?
Yes. Each scoop contains all nine essential amino acids. We're lab-testing the amino acid profile and will list leucine per scoop here.
What do the digestive enzymes do?
ProHydrolase® is a protease complex, and BioCore® Optimum is a blend of proteases, amylases, invertase and lipase. Proteases are enzymes that help break down protein.†
Does it contain caffeine?
No. None of its ingredients contain caffeine or other stimulants.
When should I take it?
Whenever you want 22 g of protein: after a workout or with breakfast.
How many scoops a day, and how long does a tub last?
One scoop is one serving, so a 30-scoop tub lasts 30 days at one a day. Count it toward the protein you get from food, and ask your healthcare practitioner if you're unsure how much protein is right for you.
How does the subscription work?
Choose how often it renews: every 30, 60, 90 or 120 days. Subscription orders are 10% off: $1.62 a scoop instead of $1.80. It renews automatically until you cancel.
Is it for adults? Can I take it with other supplements or medication?
Yes. It's formulated for adults and isn't intended for children. Talk with your healthcare practitioner before use if you take prescription medication, or if you're pregnant or nursing.
What sweetens it? Does it contain sugar?
Stevia, with mild sweetness from VitaFiber® (IMO). Each scoop has 3 g of total sugars and no sucrose (table sugar).
What's in it if I have a sensitive stomach?
We can't say how any protein powder will sit with you. Here's what's in it: no dairy or soy ingredients and no sucrose; it does contain VitaFiber® (isomaltooligosaccharide), stevia and sunflower lecithin. If you have ongoing digestive symptoms, talk with your healthcare practitioner before use.
Plant protein vs. whey: which should I choose?
Both provide all nine essential amino acids. Whey is made from milk; Veggie Protein Fusion is made from sacha inchi, pea and brown rice with no dairy ingredients, so it suits people who prefer plant protein. Gram for gram, whey usually has more leucine; we'll list our leucine per scoop after lab testing.
Is it dairy-free?
It has no dairy ingredients, but it's made in a facility that also makes whey protein (milk). If you have a milk allergy, talk with your doctor before using it.
Is it vegan?
It's made from plant protein sources and labeled vegetarian-friendly. We're confirming vegan status with each ingredient supplier and will update this answer.
Is it gluten-free?
It's made with no wheat or gluten-containing ingredients, but we haven't tested it for gluten, so we don't call it gluten-free.
Is it certified organic?
No. Veggie Protein Fusion is not a certified organic product.
Does it replace my creatine supplement?
No. Each scoop has 1,000 mg of Creatine MagnaPower® magnesium creatine chelate, which supplies under 1 g of creatine, well below the 3–5 g a day used in creatine research. It isn't meant to replace a creatine supplement.
Where is it made?
Veggie Protein Fusion is made in our own facility in San Antonio, Texas, with U.S. and imported ingredients.
Storage: Store tightly sealed in a cool, dry place.
We offer free shipping on orders over $99. Orders generally ship within 1-2 business days. Delivery details will be provided in your confirmation email.
